Danielle Colby embraces quiet life with new Iowa home

Danielle Colby, star of "American Pickers," and her husband Jeremy Scheuch have settled into a new life in Iowa, shunning the public spotlight for a more secluded existence.

According to the US Sun, they purchased a quaint home in Davenport for $285,000 in May 2024, signaling a significant step back from public engagements and social media.

Colby, known for her role on the popular show where she connects co-stars with sellers of unique antiques, has seen a notable shift in lifestyle. Coupled with her background in burlesque performances, Danielle has built a multifaceted public persona over the years.

However, her career trajectory took a turn earlier this year when she deleted major social media accounts. In January 2025, Danielle removed both her Instagram and OnlyFans pages, a move that came just months after buying her new home.

Exploration of Danielle Colby's Background

The house, built in 1930, features four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and extends over 2,930 square feet. Unique aspects like its yellow stucco exterior with brown moulding and dual fireplaces add character to the residential property.

Surrounded by lush shrubbery and trees, the property also boasts a charming pathway featuring a quaint bench, perfect for quiet reflection or enjoying the outdoors.

Before moving to Iowa, Danielle and Jeremy also invested in a 1,584-square-foot farmhouse in Illinois. Purchased in August 2018 for $295,000, this property sits on 4.56 acres, strengthening Danielle's ties to the Midwest.

Colby's Transition From Public Figures to Seclusion

Her departure from social media was not entirely unforeseen. Danielle mentioned the possibility of leaving social media platforms in a video, stating, “First of all, should this page disappear, which it could, soon... go to @daniellecolbywashere." This indicated her growing desire for privacy before the actual deletion took place.

Aside from her reduced online presence, Danielle has also stepped back from her burlesque career. Known on stage as Dannie Diesel, her last recorded burlesque performance was in October 2024, and currently, there are no future shows scheduled.

While Danielle partakes in occasional filming for "American Pickers" and engages in antique picking, both activities now occupy less of her time compared to past years.

Life Beyond the Limelight

The couple's lifestyle change also includes spending stretches of time in Puerto Rico, where they have another residence. This home offers a stark contrast to their Iowa abode and showcases the versatility in their living arrangements.

Throughout her transition, Danielle has striven to maintain both a connection and a distance from her fervent fan base. Her move toward a quieter lifestyle comes after years in the public eye, marked by strong engagements in multiple spheres.

This pivot to a more reserved lifestyle could represent a new chapter for Danielle and Jeremy, focusing more on personal satisfaction and less on public acknowledgment.

A Detailed Look at the New Home and its Features

The interior of their new home reflects a blend of classic and contemporary styles, emphasized by the vintage charm of its fireplaces. These elements make the house not just a living space but a slice of history preserved through modern times.

The exterior's distinctive yellow and brown color scheme sets the home apart in the neighborhood, likely a decision influenced by Danielle's unique aesthetic, recognizable from her public persona and career.

Ultimately, the pathway and bench entrenched amid the greenery of their property symbolize the new path Danielle and Jeremy have chosen to embark on—one of tranquility and retreat from the constant buzz of celebrity life.
