Walt Ehmer initially joined Waffle House in 1992, quickly making his mark on the company. By 2002, he had risen to the position of president and subsequently took on roles as CEO and chairman, demonstrating a profound commitment to the firm's growth and ethos.
Ehmer rooted his leadership skills in his education at Georgia Tech University, where he later served the alumni community with great dedication. During his tenure as chair of the Georgia Tech Alumni Association Board of Trustees from 2012 to 2013, he received fond memories for his vigor and strategic direction.
In addition to his commitment to education, Ehmer significantly contributed as a member of both the Georgia Tech Foundation Board and the Georgia Tech Advisory Board, guiding future generations of leaders.
