Thomson Mayor Benjamin "Benji" Cary Cranford faces serious legal trouble following accusations of providing alcohol to prison inmates.
Cranford was indicted and arrested for allegedly hiding a bottle of gin intended for a state prison work crew, New York Post reported.

According to authorities, he purchased a bottle of Seagram’s Extra Dry Gin and strategically placed it in a ditch along Georgia 150 in Thomson.
